شروط الحجاب الشرعي Conditions of Islamic woman's veil

1. أن يكون الحجاب ساتراً لجميع البدن ؛ لقوله تعالى : { ... يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ }.

2. أن يكون كثيفاً غير رقيق ولا شفاف ؛ لأن الغرض من الحجاب الستر، فإذا لم يكن ساتراً لا يُسمى حجاباً.

3. أن لا يكون زينة في نفسه أو مبهرجاً ذا ألوان جذابة يلفت الأنظار ؛  لقوله تعالى : { ... وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا } ،  ومعنى : { . ..مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا } ، أي بدون قصد ولا تعمّد ، فإذا كان في ذاته زينة فلا يجوز ارتداؤه ، ولا يسمى حجاباً.

4. أن يكون واسعاً غير ضيّق ، لا يشفّ عن البدن ، ولا يُجسّم العورة ، ولا يظهر أماكن الفتنة في الجسم.

5. أن لا يكون معطراً فيه إثارة للرجال ؛ لقوله ﷺ : " أيما امرأة استعطرت فمرت على قوم ليجدوا ريحها ؛ فهي زانية " ، رواه الإمام أحمد في المسند / 19711 ، وإسناده جيد ، انتهى.

1. Women's veil  must cover all woman's body as Allah said, " Tell the believing women to draw their Jilbaab" Alahzab 59"
2- The veil  must be thick ;neither  thin nor transparent because the purpose of Hijaab or veil  to cover all the body .If it doesn't cover the body ,so it is not a veil or Hijaab.
3- It must not be an ornament in itself or attractive , or colorful that may attract attention as Allah , the Almighty said, "  Not to show their ornaments  except only  that which is apparent " . which means what appears  when she doesn't  deliberately mean that . If the veil  has  an ornament  , it won't be a veil and she mustn't wear it.

4- It must be loose-fitting  not so tight that it can reveal the body or embody the Awrah or show off the positions of temptation in the woman's body.
5- It mustn't be perfumed as it would excite men as the prophet  Peace be upon him ,said, " If a  perfumed woman passes by men  to  appeal to her  good smell , she will be regarded  an adulteress. " reported  by Imam  Ahmad in his masnad or  manuscript /19711  and it has a good report  ascription .
